Congratulations to Peter Foertsch, who was named the director of Magnet Schools and will oversee the implementation and management of the $9.6 million Magnet Schools Assistance Program (MSAP) grant the district was awarded in September 2017.
While we are sad to see Mr. Foertsch leave Barkstall, we are happy to have his expertise as we implement the Magnet programs at Stratton, Garden Hills and Franklin. Mr. Foertsch will finish out the school year at Barkstall and will assist as possible with the transition of a new principal.
Mr. Mark Roessler and Ms. Sandra Roesler were selected as capital projects managers and will be focused on current and upcoming facility projects associated with the successful November 2016 referendum. Projects will include Central, Centennial, Dr. Howard, Edison, International Prep Academy, South Side, McKinley Field and Spalding Park.
