Attention ALL 7th Grade Students:
Today is our Krannert Field Trip!!! Students who have turned in permission slips before today, will be going and will need to grab their coats on the way to their second hour class. If you are unsure if you're eligible to go, check with a 7th grade teacher and they should be able to inform you.
Student Council will meet Monday, Dec. 3rd from 3-4 to create posters and vote.
MAP TESTING ANNOUNCEMENT
Attention Franklin Knights!! Next week you will be taking the Winter 2018 MAP Tests through your Reading & Math Classes. All grades will be testing on Tuesday, December 4th - Thursday December 6th.
Teachers give students MAP tests to determine their instructional level and to measure academic growth throughout the school year, as well as from year to year in the areas of Math and Reading.
To encourage everyone to do their best, your December PBIS Incentive (Movie & Popcorn) will be based on how well you perform on the test!! Your teachers will be monitoring your positive effort and engagement while you are taking the MAP Test.
**If you rush through the test. You will not participate in the Movie & Popcorn Incentive!!**
All students get an ID, but only those living 1.5 miles away from school or across the tracks on Bradley Ave qualify for MTD
Please let a teacher know that you need one and they can email the office (Vicky, Chandra, & Beth) and we will have it made by lunch or the end of the day.
1st replacement is FREE
2nd is $1
3rd is $2
4th is $3
We do not make replacement IDs if left at home (only if lost or gone).
If your ID does not have your picture on it, please bring it to the office to exchange it for a new one
We do have 1 trip tickets in case you don't have your ID, BUT we only issue 2 per student per semester, so please carry a dollar with you in case......It will be cold soon.
If you are not an MTD rider, you may not obtain a 1 trip ticket
NJHS is running a FOOD DRIVE for the Eastern Illinois Food Bank. We will be collecting non-perishable foods such as cereal, peanut butter, canned meats, prepared meals, canned fruits and vegetables. We will also be collecting cash in the office AND in the library. $1=5 meals. PLEASE HELP OUR COMMUNITY! Donate food and funds through November 27th and help feed hungry families in eastern Illinois. Place your donations in the boxes in the hallways.

8th Grade Students & Families: Thurs., November 29th at 6pm, Centennial High School will host its annual Future Freshman Night in their auditorium! Please plan on attending this informative evening if you are a future Centennial student. Questions about which high school you are to attend? High school attendance is based on where you live. If you would like to double check which high school you are slated to attend, please see your counselor, Mrs. Monahan, for more information.
FRANKLIN Girls Volleyball Tryout Dates
You must have a current SPORTS PHYSICAL on file in the office to try-out and must be signed up to Try-Out.

- 6th graders that make it through the first round of tryouts will be asked to come back for the first day of 7th grade tryouts (11/28/18)
- Letters will be handed out to let girls know whether or not they made the team on Friday, Nov. 30th right after school
- There will be a mandatory parent meeting on Monday, December 3rd at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria for girls that have made the team
