Congratulations are in order to the FSA’s Lego Robotics Team and their coaches, Blanca Bustos and Zanne Newman!

Not only did this team with the Project Award, but they also won a seat at the table at the State Competition!!! IMPRESSIVE!!!!!


NJHS will be selling donuts this Friday morning outside the cafeteria for $1! 


Math Counts TRYOUTS will be held on December 6th after school from 3-4pm in Mrs. Wingard's Room 203. Please arrive promptly and have rides ready at 4pm.  There is NO makeup test day.


8th Grade: Fannie Mae Orders will arrive TODAY  December 4th. Mrs. Wingard will be calling parents with orders over 12 items to be picked up. Anything less than 12 will be picked up during your 9th Hour.


8th Grade: Six Flags field trip Payment Option Forms are due to Mrs. Wingard or Ms. Trajkovich by December 21st. If you need ANOTHER form come pick up in room 203.


Calling all students and families to attend the First Annual ARTS CELEBRATION on Thursday December 13th from 5-8 pm. Bring your whole family to come see the drama club perform, participate in exciting hands-on art and science activities, enjoy refreshments, and watch chorus, band and strings concerts.  A fun-filled evening for FSA families!  WE HOPE TO SEE EVERYONE THERE!


Scholastic Bowl is a team that competes by answering questions from a variety of topics such as sports, science, math, history, music, movies, etc.  Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grader may try out.  Franklin's team has brought home 2 trophies from the STATE FINALS in the past 4 years.  Want to try out for this amazing team?  Sign up outside Mrs. Jones' door (Room 212) and pick up a study resource page to begin preparing.  Tryout schedule will be announced soon. 


Attention Franklin Knights!! Next week you will be taking the Winter 2018 MAP Tests through your Reading & Math Classes. All grades will be testing on Tuesday, December 4th - Thursday December 6th.

Quiet Hallway Challenge!!

Attention Franklin Knights!! 

We have to keep the hallways Quiet during MAP Testing Days because each Grade Level is testing all day. The Grade Level Whose the Quietest All 3 Days will WIN A Drink from Ms. Gardner to go with their Movie/Popcorn Incentive. Each passing period noise level will tracked using a sound meter.

The Winning Grade Level for each day will be announced the following day!!


Teachers give students MAP tests to determine their instructional level and to measure academic growth throughout the school year, as well as from year to year in the areas of Math and Reading. 

To encourage everyone to do their best, your December PBIS Incentive (Movie & Popcorn) will be based on how well you perform on the test!! Your teachers will be monitoring your positive effort and engagement while you are taking the MAP Test. 

**If you rush through the test, you will not be eligible to participate in the Movie & Popcorn Incentive!!** 



All students get an ID, but only those living 1.5 miles away from school or across the tracks on Bradley Ave qualify for MTD

Please let a teacher know that you need one and they can email the office (Vicky, Chandra, & Beth) and we will have it made by lunch or the end of the day.

1st replacement is FREE

2nd is $1

3rd is $2

4th is $3

We do not make replacement IDs if left at home (only if lost or gone).

If your ID does not have your picture on it, please bring it to the office to exchange it for a new one 


We do have 1 trip tickets in case you don't have your ID, BUT we only issue 2 per student per semester, so please carry a dollar with you in case......It will be cold soon.

If you are not an MTD rider, you may not obtain a 1 trip ticket
