Keep being READY, RESPECTFUL and RESPONSIBLE
This is a reminder that all 6th Grade Immunizations are due this week. With school physicals and immunizations due for students by the end of this week, They are available every day this week at various areas in Champaign and will see anyone regardless of their ability to pay. They will do physicals and immunizations.
Homework Academy will be on Tuesday/Thursday from 3:00-4:00 in room 210! In order to keep students focused on homework students must be working on homework or reading a book to be able to participate. They must also be checking in by 3:05. A ride at 4:00 is also greatly appreciated.
CU 1-to-1 Mentees! Your mentors will be coming this week, first hour, to quickly meet with you at our annual reconnection meeting. If your mentor is able to attend, your first hour teacher will give you a pass to the Makers Lab for you to attend. If you don't get a pass, you will hear from me about when your mentor will be coming. We look forward to seeing you all!
Come one, come all to the STEAM-tastic IL Space Day field trip! It's HANDS-ON super fun rocket and space stuff. Saturday, October 6 from 9:00-3:30. FREE admission, FREE t-shirt, and FREE lunch provided! See your science or Makerspace teacher for a permission slip- due September 7.
Today is MAP Testing for 7th Grade. We need everyone to be quiet in the 7th grade hallways.
Teachers give students MAP tests to determine their instructional level and to measure academic growth throughout the school year, as well as from year to year in the areas of Math and Reading. Do Your BEST!! Parents and families can help by ensuring that your student has a good night's rest, eat breakfast at school or home, and build their confidence! Thank you for your support!

Game Club: Come have fun learning a new board game or playing an old favorite. Room 106, Thursdays, 3-4:30 pm, Mr. Pickel and Mr. Anderson Bliss.
Project Athletes targets students seeking something fun, structured, and healthy after school. The program will help students train for upcoming school sports try-outs and offer general health and fitness opportunities. No tryouts necessary. Students are welcome to drop-in at any time. Students receive training, mentoring, snacks, and an athletic shirt. There is no cost for this program.

Franklin Knights it is time for our first PBIS incentive!!! The "Caught Being Good" Gatorade Lottery will be Friday, August 31st during the lunch periods.
