 Project Athletes begins  TODAY Monday September 11 3:15-4:15 pm. You can just show up- no need to have signed up previously! 


Book Club will meet this Tuesday, Sep. 12th, in the library from 3-4pm.


DRAMA CLUB is starting next week on TUESDAY September 12!  Do you love acting and want to learn more about it and meet others who love theatre like you? ANYONE can join! Meetings will be TUESDAYS after school 3-4:00 (you MUST have a way home at 4:00 sharp!).


Lego Club is back and will meet Wednesdays 3-4:30pm in Rm. 124 (STEAM Room). Come and build cool things with Legos. Make sure you have a ride at 4:30pm.  -Ms. Bustos


Franklin Open House Thursday September 14th – 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.


We will be having the Champaign-Urbana Public Health Dental Clinic at Franklin Middle School on Tuesday, September 19th and Wednesday, September 20th from 8:15 to 2:00 in the schools gym on the stage. Consent forms are available in the office, need to be filled out by the parent and turned back into the office by Monday, September 11, 2017.


Boys' basketball open gyms this week will take place on September 12th & 13th. 6th grade will be on the 12th from 3-4:30 p.m. 7th & 8th grade will be on the 13th. 7th grade from 6:30-7:30 p.m.; 8th grade from 7:30-8:30 p.m.


Attention All Franklin Students:  6th Grade Social Studies students are learning to take informed action and are collecting needed cleaning supplies for the victims of Hurricane Harvey and Irma as they get back into their homes and start cleaning up the messes left by these devastating hurricanes.

Items in demand include:

  • Bleach
  • Paper towels/Clean Rags
  • Disinfectants/Household Cleaners
  • Outdoor Garbage Bags
  • Mops
  • Buckets
  • Empty Spray bottles
  • Dish soap
  • Sponges and scrub brushes
  • Clorox Wipes
  • Rubber Gloves
  • Cash Donations

If you can donate any of these items or know someone who can, please bring the items to school and drop them off in the plastic bins outside of the main office or send them with a 6th Grade Student to turn in to their Social Studies teacher. Let's show how Knights are leading the charge to make the world a better place!

Franklin Knights this 2017-2018 school year, will take tests called Measures of Academic Progress® (MAP®). Teachers give students MAP tests to determine their instructional level and to measure academic growth throughout the school year, as well as from year to year in the areas of Math and Reading. We will take The MAP test next week on the chrome books.  

  • September 11th - 6th grade = Testing with 1st-2nd hours (Reading) & 4th-5th hours (Math)
  • September 12th - 7th grade = Testing with 1st-2nd hours (Reading) & 5th-6th hours (Math)
  • September 13th - 8th grade = Testing with 3rd-4th hours (Reading) & 8th-9th hours (Math)

Attention 8th Grade NJHS Members:  We will have our first meeting after school on Friday, September 15th until 4:00 pm.  Snacks and drinks will be provided.  We will welcome our new co-sponsor Ms. Taake, reconnect with each other, plan our recruitment of new members, discuss leadership opportunities, and brainstorm service projects for this year.  Make sure your ride is here PROMPTLY at 4:00 pm.  Ms. Taake and I cannot leave until the last member of our group is picked up.  Please be respectful of our time. In addition, please note that your service hours have begun for the year.  You are required to complete 3 hours of service each month starting in September.  Your first service logs will be due October 1st. If you need a log, they are available outside of Mrs. Wolfe's room (same spot at last year).  Can't wait to see everyone Friday (the 15th)!
